    Authentic Manhood

    Proverbs 16:1-9

    The Point:
Men don't like to be surprised. They like to know what's going on, what's around the next corner, what the next challenge will be, etc. Men can plan their entire lives with the purpose of being in control, but it's really the Lord who establishes the steps of men.

    I. God's response to man's plans.
II. Man's response to God's sovereignty.

    Between now and then
Between now and then by Rev. Jim Warren

    I. Things I can know now:
      A. God loves us.
      B. Our prayers get answered.
      C. The Holy Spirit guides us.
II. Things I can now about then:
      A. I don't know.
      B. Things will be clear then.

    Kingdoms are for Kings
    Matthew 4:1-11

    The Point:
Kingdoms are for Kings, not slaves. For Christians to live lives of abundantly free slaves to Jesus, we must deconstruct the kingdom we've built for ourselves, and reconstruct (in our minds) the kingdom that really matters, the Kingdom of God.

    I. The lie.
    II. The truth.

    Fear/Less
    Series: (All)

    Daniel 6

The Point: Sure, there are times each one of us can be or will be, consumed by fear. It's human nature. However, the manner in which we respond to fear shows where our faith lies: in ourselves, or in the One who created us.

Two questions we have to ask when fear consumers us...

    I. What is the genesis of fear?
II. What am I going to do about it?

Calling on the name of the Lord
    Matthew 7: 21-23

Matthew 7:21-23 21 "Not everyone who says to me 'Lord, Lord.' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, 'Lord, Lord' did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name? 23 And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you, depart from me, you workers of lawlessness."

The importance of a good Mom
    Luke 12:16-21

The Point: Young minds are easily influenced. Those same young minds become old minds who become influencers in their contexts. What our children learn from us can have decades of repercussions.

    The young man mistook......
    I. His wallet for his worthiness (v.18).
II. His stores for his salvation (v. 19).
III. His property as his preparations (v. 19-20).

    Developing a missional family
    Acts 17:26-28

The Point: Every Christian, regardless of his or her age, has been strategically placed at a strategic location to strategically play a part in the advancement of God's Kingdom.

    I. Seek God's face.
    II. Walk in God's presence.

    The Last Adam
    1 Corinthians 15:45-48, Genesis 2:7

The Point: Jesus, because he's fully man, is the only person fully equipped to fulfill God's redemptive plan. Where sin was consummated through the first Adam, sin was defeated in the second Adam....Jesus.

    I. The First Adam.
    II. The Last Adam.
