    The Last Adam
    1 Corinthians 15:45-48, Genesis 2:7
The Point: Jesus, because he's fully man, is the only person fully equipped to fulfill God's redemptive plan. Where sin was consummated through the first Adam, sin was defeated in the second Adam....Jesus.
    I. The First Adam.
    II. The Last Adam.

    The Silent Sheep
The Point: Not only is Jesus The Good Shepherd (Psalm 23), He is also the sheep sacrificed for our poor decision making. But, unlike all the other sacrifices, this sheep didn't stay dead.
    I. The Prophecy.
    II. The Proclamation.
    III. The Performance.

    I Corinthians 11:23-26
    I. That Jesus died.
    II. How Jesus died.
    III. Why Jesus died.
Without the death of Jesus, there is:
    No victories,
    No blessings,
    No miracles,
could have ever happened in your story.

Hosea: A patient and forgiving husband
    Hosea 3:1-5
The Point: Just as God directed Hosea to redeem his wife, Gomer. He directed His Son Jesus, to redeem His bride, Israel. Because of that redemption, the Church inherits the same grace.
    I. A restless Bride.
    II. A redeeming Husband.

    Jesus Christ, Kinsman-Redeemer
    Ruth 3
The Point: The illustration of Boaz as kinsman-redeemer to Ruth and Naomi offer a beautiful picture of the mercy and grace offered to us through the provision of Jesus Christ, as He is OUR kinsman-redeemer.
    I. A Kinsman-Redeemer perceives.
    II. A Kinsman-Redeemer protects.
    III. A Kinsman-Redeemer provides.

    Philippians 1:27
Whatever you do conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of Christ.
Do not live a compartmentalized life, like a waffle.
Christians should live lives like spaghetti, you can't tell where a noodle begins or ends. Christ should be like that in all areas of our lives.
  • Feb 26, 2017Shepherd
    Feb 26, 2017
    Psalm 23
    The Point:
When you're talking about the Shepherd, what other name comes to mind but the name of Jesus?
    I. It is a Psalm of provision, but it is also a Psalm of protection.
II. This Psalm is cyclical - it talks about protection, provision, sin and death, and provision.
III. The presence of Jesus allows us to get past the afflictions of  others.
  • Feb 19, 2017Jesus: He brings in the harvest
    Feb 19, 2017
Jesus: He brings in the harvest
    Matthew 9:35-38
The Point: There is no age exemption for being a laborer in the harvest. Jesus modeled harvesting, so we are privileged to be called to follow his lead.
    I. The call is clear.
    II. The call is contextual.
    III. The call is collective.

    Imitator: A Fitting End
    Galatians 5:16-25
The Point: The Bible gives us a plethora of ways which we are to exhibit the traits and character of Jesus. Being expected to exhibit all those all those traits can seem overwhelming. However, we can eliminate the tediousness of that task by becoming IMITATORS of Christ.
    I. Our imitation should be God-honoring.
II. Our imitation should be body-building.
III. Our imitation should be Christ-compelling.
